No formal referral is required. Referrals from GPs, support coordinators, allied health professionals, psychologists, and other providers are welcome.
Sessions are tailored to each individual’s goals, needs, and nervous system capacity. Therapy may include emotional regulation support, sensory strategies, practical life skills, nervous system regulation work, community-based support, mindfulness, movement, creative activities, and functional capacity support.
Equine-assisted occupational therapy involves working alongside horses in a calm, grounded environment to support nervous system regulation, confidence, emotional awareness, connection, and sensory processing. Sessions are ground-based only and no riding is involved.
Home and community visits may be available depending on location and participant needs. recommendations and training.
Bodywise supports adults experiencing a range of psychosocial, developmental, intellectual, sensory, and mental health challenges. This may include autism, intellectual disability, anxiety, depression, PTSD, complex trauma, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, sensory processing differences, and emotional regulation difficulties.
